Hi All,
Have just had some girls staying with us for four days, strange having girls in the house I have to say. They were from Adelaide and had been sailing in Brisbane and came down to Sydney to spend some time with the boys. They generally relaxed and had a good time. Didn't do much as the weather was not the best. They also found Sydney very expensive. We enjoyed their company though and the teenage banter going backwards and forwards. It was a good opportunity though to tidy up the house - it hadn't been cleaned for ages. So the house looked immaculate for a couple of days, but it hasn't lasted long.
The "limo" night out was a great success. Nine of us from my mum's group were collected in a white limo at 5.30pm. One of the mums organised "cosmopolitans" for the limo ride, which I have to say were very potent. The limo had all the mod cons - the sparkly lights, the plasma tv and beautiful leather seats, it was sheer luxury. We laughed and partied our way into the city, doing the "royal wave" to our fans on the street. Unfortunately no-one could see us as the windows were tinted. We were driven to Lady Macquarie's chair, where we had 25 minutes. We stood at LMC and had numerous pics taken while enjoying a few glasses of Moet . It was
beautiful, we had the Opera House and the Bridge as our backdrop. We spent a lot of time laughing and cavorting around much to the delight of the Chinese tourists around us. From there we were driven to King St Wharf, Lime Ave where we had yet another round of drinks (with lots of water in between) at Bungalow 8, it was so crowded with young people and SOOOOOOOOOOOO LOOOUD. We ended up having dinner there as the tapas bar we were going to was full. After dinner we went to a Latin Club and danced until about 12.30. The Limo then picked us up again and deposited us safely back home. SO A GREAT NIGHT WAS HAD BY ALL. The next day my feet and throat were soooo sore though.
Easter has put my exercise program on the back-burner but full steam ahead for next week. I think the idea of a personal trainer, if you can afford it, is a good idea as they do keep you motivated and make you go.
The boys had a break from sailing over Easter while the girls were here which I think did them the world of good as they virtually sail all year round. They are doing well in the 470 and really enjoying it.
Back again. We have several days of rain which is wonderful if you have a garden. Last weekend we had 2 days of strong wind 20-30 knots which the boys had to sail in over at Rushcutters Bay. They had been selected to sail with a group of 8 others in boats called an "elliot"- 4 crew to a boat. It was wild and very rough. The boys arrived home mid afternoon both days and crashed for a couple of hours. Matt's arms and legs were aching. They were both exhausted.
I minded my neice Lauren on Tuesday and we had some lovely 'girl' time - shopping and Mcdonalds for lunch, she walked the dog with Uncle Steve in the afternoon, drew pictures, chased the dog and her aunt was exhausted by the end of the day. I went back to work for a rest.
No more for now.
Cheers

Easter in NZ
Well, we have a busy Easter weekend ahead in NZ. Mandy and Ella are off to Hellensville with Shazz for a Pony Club camp on Friday, Saturday and back on Sunday. Then they are all (Shazz too) off to the Easter Bush Games somwhere south of Bombay on Monday also!
Me and the boys will be at home chopping wood, doing the lawns, playing cricket - usual stuff. Lukey will probably go for a ride on his bike too (Honda CRF 80).
Rugby starts next month with the first game on the 2nd May. JoeJoe has his first ever rugby practice this Thursday. He is playing for the Ardmore Marist Small Blacks 1 Red team this year. Toby is in the Under 9 Open team and Lukey is in the Under 13 Restricted. Will catch up with all the details after Easter - have a good one in Sydney!

NEARLY EASTER
Hi All,
It's nearly Easter, can't believe where the time has gone. Ben is in the middle of his half-yearly exams and has so far had Legal Studies, and English. He seems happy about both.
The boys have been busy training during the week at Middle Harbour and will also be out there Saturday and Sunday, no rest for the WICKED. Matt often gets home and crashes on the lounge after work and sleeps for a couple of hours.
My boss is off during April and May - family holiday during April and then travelling overseas for business, so it will be very quiet. He mentioned that if business continues to be slow he may have to put us off, but we will wait and see, which would be a shame. Oh well that's the climate for you.
Steve is getting good feedback from his students commenting how patient he is. I don't know how he does it personally because the trafffic seems to be getting worse everyday. Every time I drive now he tries to re-educate my driving skills much to my chagrin.
Not much more to report, have been to the gym a couple of times, but need to go more..........there is always next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAVE A GREAT EASTER.
